re: Samsung and Microsoft to 'flash' hard drives
The 'Hybrid Hard Drive' is aimed at laptops running Longhorn

That's big news, and just the first baby step.

Would the flash on the Hybrid drive be NAND or NOR?

I agree this is an exciting development. If the camel's nose of flash gets under the laptop tent, how long before the entire camel is inside? Sure there are technical challenges, but the allure of fewer moving parts, weight, battery life, etc. could keep this kind of innovation moving forward.
