Quebec definately would not want to join the US, and I think it is a snowball-in-hell likelihood the others would either. Too much "Little Canadian" syndrome up there. We lost our chance in 1812 to have the US stretch from the Gulf to the North Pole. Now, do we really want them? Derek

Any ideas on all this Bill? The left is already pushing it. They call it "The North American Alliance." The reason they want it is because they would pick up an enormous group of voters that would vote for them. Not a chance of it happening.

Of course they're viable. They can run their own courts, police, they're really good at snow plowing. Probably integrate even more closely with US, dollarize their economy. I'm sure life wouldn't change much for a citizen of Edmunton or Thunder Bay.
