I agree with most of what you think. It's a damn shame that now Rice and Bush are having to put pressure on the elected officials to get going. It seems we promise one thing and then events dictate that we have to reverse ourselves and now it would see we are controlling again.

I do not see an end to the insurgency. I think that as long as we remain in Iraq there will be these continual suicide bombings.. That means we cannot leave... Catch 22... all over.

So, we are damned if we do and damned if we don't and damned for having created such a terrible quagmire for that is what it is even though there appear to be rainbows at the end of the sky they are brief and fleeting.

I like when Imus every morning asks his Iraqi correspondent, well, what is new over there... It's always the same. Well, last night a suicide bomber....etc.
