Well, when you go to a heat game and walk a short while to the area you get panhandled by the homeless and possible offered "good stuff". Sections still aren't too good to say the least.


That is still a major improvement. When I was there, the street that runs south from downtown......I think it runs all the way to Coral Gables or to Coconut Grove.......that was the only place that looked alive near downtown. It had all these modern office buildings on it.....I can't remember its name. Downtown itself was a ghost town.....shabby and decayed, and it looked like it should be in a metro area of only 200,000 instead of one as big as Miami.
