Don't worry about it - it's history and at my age, memory fades quickly. I can remember things from 60 years ago, but 60 minutes ago escapes me.

I think it's because after a certain time of filling one's brain with things to remember, there's no room for new stuff and not having a place to stay, new stuff leaves the area of neurons and stuff. Now if a thing is important enough to remember, I have to write it down immediately or it is gone forever. ie, my car service appointment for tomorrow at 11 AM. I have set an alarm for 10 AM and recorded myself a message to that effect. Ain't science wunnerful!
