Right. Rightwingers have been fuming ever since JFK got elected, and though they probably cheered his assassination, they thought Reagan would usher in 50 years of rightwing religious dictatorship. Even with the S+L debacle and Iran-Contra. No wonder they hate Clinton and bona fide war hero John Kerry so much.

Right now, however, the real obstacle to rightwing takeover is moderate Republicans. They are sick to their stomachs over how Bush has veered so far and dishonestly to the right. It is moderate Republicans who are foiling Bush's big privatization and extremist bills.

Basically though we are all being taken to the cleaners. Will we pay off this Bush debt in our entire lifetimes? probably not. Welcome to Third World America. No more real American Dream unless you're already rich or in with the exploiters. Plus, where's the honest conservatism when Bush even supports illegal immigration, nation building and trillions in deficit spending?
