Are there any smaller cruise ships that you would particularly recommend?

Big cruise ships are like being in a giant hotel that you can't get out of. I would rather watch a video of Alaska on TV.

In Juneau, the population goes from 30,000 to 40,000 and back on almost daily schedule. Each cruise ship holds 1,500 or more passengers and a large crew. Sometimes there are six of them in the harbor at once.
