i read maybe on this thread once you switch to a flat tax you could not go back to itemize deductions.

I am against a flat tax unless there is sometime of low income protections built into tax or lower middle income. I assume any flat tax would be a tax increase to these income people unless some type of minimums or allowances are built into system.
