No TOU violation, no infringement of his privacy: I didn't tell the person to whom I spoke the individual's name-- only that he was a member of that association, and what he was doing.

I know about the letter CH wrote attacking the gentleman because I knew the chairperson's name, and found the letter written by CH on the net, and lo and behold, it was to the chairperson of his ethics committee. It made me laugh. But, as I said, I didn't carry it any further, for the same reason I didn't supply CH's name: I didn't want to harm him professionally, I just wanted him to stop.

You certainly do assume a lot. Why not ask, instead?

You are funny. There's a scary predator/slanderer/liar who talks about people's families and issues threats to post private messages. HIM you play kissy face with. I was one of his victims, and ascertained (without revealing his name, only that he was a member of that bar) that he was violating professional ethics. Which he was. And you get all scared for him (or pretend to) -- for no reason at all.
