Its was four, not two

Two Christians.

"Four, nationally known religious figures, a Catholic priest, a Protestant minister, a Rabbi and a Muslim leader"

Of course you are right. Apparently, my expectations are too high. I would have the non Christians knew the arguments as well.

Flimsy?

Yes very much so. The lack of desire or ability of two individuals to respond to an argument says nothing or next to nothing about the merits of the argument.

I ain't buying it. The religious leaders knew the controversy and did not want to take it on esp. on national tv esp. after they had just waxed on about how wonderful the after life would be and how they couldn't wait to die. I can see it now:

"Oh yes, the after life is wonderful with 64 virgins; oops, wrong religion. The after life is wonderful where you meet God and Jesus and live an eternal life in peace and happiness. Oh yeah, its true we're not sure if Jesus really existed at all......but that's only a minor point.......don't worry your little heads over it."

Right!
