In theory Communism and Fascism are at opposite ends of the spectrum. The human beings who run both systems are autocratic, authoritarian and generally thuggish creatures. After tens of thousands of years, you'd think we'd finally understand the truth about the human species and the world we live in. Democracy and an egalitarian society aren't natural, they're civilized and they take tremendous work to create and to maintain. Left to our own thoughtless natures, we naturally plunge right back into an authoritarian, pyramid-shaped society. Even though there aren't huge differences between individuals, society magnifies those differences.
