Did you not mention in your post that foie gras has gained in popularity among Americans since the controversy about how it is produced has been publicized, and the law in California eventually banning its production was enacted? That is what I was referring to when I said "To want something even more when you discover how much torture an animal endures so you can eat it is beyond me." I don't have time right now to go back and read the post string, so if that is now what your post said, I may have misunderstood.
