hi john - its called a portable music system ... amazon.com but this is the one i really want bizrate.com when i get back, i'm going to go into vancouver with my ipod in hand and try the bose system. i have the feeling it will make the one i bought sound tinny, but i don't know that for sure. what is it about the ipod that you daughter loves so much? -rose

john- the little altec lansing sound dock digital music system that i bought is great - i left it up in masset. it's tiny - measures maybe 5 x 8 x 1 inches including the ipod and delivers a sound good enough for what i'm playing - especially with tile and wood flooring and very little furniture. the acoustics are fantastic. i had friends drop by and couldn't believe the sound that was coming from it. i'm sure the bose system would be far superior, but for now i'm good with it. i don't need a cd player anymore cause all my tunes are on the ipod. its great. -rose
