Shades, I'm using Sprint DSL, the slow "economy" version. I wonder how Phil's PG short is doing? PG up $1.17 on good earnings. WHY would a person want to short a stock like that..ahead of earnings? It won't go down unless the whole market does. Better to short SPY.

I have noticed something: the best shorts I have are MLI and NYT. And these are not stocks that have a lot of CNBC chatter with regards to shorts and I have never hear a thing about them on a message board. No "guru" like Phil has said to short them that I am aware of. Still they just keep going down. I think I found them both in the "new low" section in the newspaper. Could it be that "off the radar" stocks that a person might find all by themself do better than some of the "cult stocks"?

Just a thought.
