We are indeed isolated

1 - "Isolated" is not "Isolationism". "Isolationism is an intentional policy designed to cause isolation.

2 - The US is not isolated. Isolated is having nothing to do with others and them having nothing to do with you. If you have an enormous amount of trade you are not isolated. If you have treaties and diplomatic meetings and conferences you are not isolated. For that matter if you are at war you are not isolated. Isolated is not "experienceing negative reactions from other countries", or "disagreeing with other countries", it is having little interaction with other countries on any level.
