The "other side" of the issue that I can't see is requiring cold medicine to be kept being behind the counter? Is that what you're saying?

If so, you're right, in part. I do see the "other side" in that I understand why authorities would want to hide it away so the meth dealers can't get acquire it by stealing it from drug stores. The regulation would work, I think. But you're right in that I don't see why one would advocate that the government mandate such a clumsy, expensive, and inflexible approach.

I suppose if we keep adding these government mandates on stores we'll eventually get enough to warrant a separate part of the store or a separate store set aside for products with government controls, kind of like ABC stores, and there would then be economies of scale... <g>
