Does anyone think that GM et al have repeated the mistakes of american car companies of the 70s. Then it was smaller, fuel efficient cars that led to japanese growth in the market while the US produced the largest and ugliest cars ever produced. This time it was suvs and hummers vs hybrids and even more efficient.
Now segway back to exxon/mobil. Dividends, aquisitions, stock buy backs.. What about real exploration with oil at $40+ or alternate fuels or other things i am too dumb to know about right now. Will X/M make the same mistake as GM did and continues to do? Or am i all wet on this one? mike
