Look what diplomats at the UN has wrought. The Oil for food scandal. The US human rights commission is almost entirely controlled by the worst violators. Instead of the normal 8 years of in the rotating Presidency They they gave Kofi eight years after his fellow kleptocrat BB Ghali was denied a second term. The UN is non-functional.

I seem to recall a famous UN Ambassador banging his shoe on the table in front of himself. Sometimes, a man who is respected is more productive than a person who is popular.

Have you ever read Machiavelli?

Clinton kept waiting for his legacy to happen to him, and it never did. (Except the lying under oath part that he did to himself.) President Bush has acted with resolve and has earned the grudging respect of world leaders and of terrorists.

Current UN problems call for a person who can deal with the childishness of the other member states. Bolton has shown that he is not afraid to question CIA analysts. He even a couple CIA analysts feelings before the 911 commission suggested questioning them was prudent.
