In my mind, the thing that gives it credibility is that the ones that brag that way are script kiddies. If one is really good, there isn't any reason to brag that way. Add in the reported fact that he demanded, and apparently expected, the moderators IP address...

If he really was a l33t hax0r(I think that is right), he should have gotten the IP address himself.
