Then you have the house passing an "energy bill" that consists almost entirely of $9Billion in tax credits to the oil companies, nothing about conservation. XON just reported $7Billion in profits... for the quarter; they hardly need tax credits. It appears they do not know how to not be partisan. In the meantime, the stock market is going to hell in a hand basket. The current downdraft feels alot like the bear market of 2000-2001. All my gains of the past 5 years are gone. ted
