The oil companies own the patents for all the gizmos ever invented that increase gas mileage. Then the car industry went whole hog for fuel injection which is a gas guzzling technology. Wonder why? The oil companies want to promote consumption so they can make more money and the rest of us be dammed. Inventions that atomize the gas before it is burned are forever locked away with patents and will never be used because the oil companies don't want cars that get 100 mpg. Why is it when gas is over $2 a gallon are they still making gas guzzling SUV's with gas guzzling fuel injection??
