I think you are half right. There are not that many tax shelters... if you know of some PM me. If they were to repeal the Bush tax cuts, then the upper middle class and upper class, if they wanted to maintain their lifestyle, would have to figure a way to make more money.

But that's all short term thinking. Bottom line is we have to pay the bills. Or folks your age will be socked with so much debt you won't have half the lifestyle you are enjoying now. And it will be worse for your kids, the family values thing.

Massive deficit spending isn't a cute or funny topic, it's the litmus test for prosperity. Things may really suck for the very end of my lifetime, but most of your life is going to be spent paying off Bush's debts. Just remember, every cent that Bush spends in Iraq is on your tab... you owe that money to somebody.
