< isolating the US, for the moment, from the march of human progress> Yes -- that is a good way of putting it. I am concerned that people need to understand the ramifications of political isolation as policy. I am concerned that people see the damage being done and the tremendous toll it is taking on us and the rest of the world. The senseless, destructive power of our policies and the opportunities being squandered are setting the stage for the world our children will inherit from us -- we owe it to them to be honest about the gravity of what is being done today in our name.
