I think if you did a survey of regular people on the street I bet 90% have no idea what a capital gain or dividend even is and that they believe that all people including the rich work jobs or have trust funds that were filled by somebody working a job that was taxed before dollars went into the fund.

Despite Bush's investment tax cuts, the market is tanking.
He's torn now between his lifelong loyalty to gas gougers and trying to lower gas prices to soothe the damage to the economy. In a recent poll, 55% blamed Bush most for high gas prices. Because he's a well-known Texas oilman and so are half his cronies.
