The fundamentalist fake christians THINK they're Bush's base which is why they're demanding things from the Republicans. However, Bush's true base are his ultrawealthy cronies. The rest is just total bs put together by George after his come-to-Methodists 12-step encounter. He brought this evangelical base to the Republicans and helped put Poppy into office. It's a political image he's cultivated in order to get the nuts out to the polls. There is nothing Christian about Bush. Not the lying, not the stealing...nada. The 'faith based' groups are mad at Bush because he's unable or unwilling to deliver everything to them. The oil and gas interests OTOH are very happy.
