Convenience is the primary reason. I actually like the diversification into other Asian currencies. They are all undervalued relative to the dollar more than the AUD currently, IMO. Secondarily, having been in FAX for a number of years now I have learned to time my entries and exits and have hefty profits from trading it. I almost always hold a core position, and increase it when FAX does its inevitable swoons at which point it sells for double digit discounts to NAV. When it approaches or exceeds NAV I reduce my position down to the core again.
