Morning Ray, been very busy and the recent rain isn't helping :^(.Not much of an opinion on emc, tech earnings are looking weaker, as well as the economy, imo. Been nibbling on bhmnf, now BMD, for a hold, not a trade. Going to just sit on a few thousand and forget it..Watched a discovery channel show on coal, lot of lime use there as well as oil sands. I figure oil sands, coal(as alternatives to crude) and methane hydrates(further out as alternative to ng/lng)and of course lng nearterm are the alternative plays to crude and ng..Have you been following this last months temps in Alaska? Record setting highs, interesting...anyone have ideas on how to play the much needed electrical grid upgrading? Is there a pure play out there? Finally putting flooring in my bathroom, although I have enjoyed the plywood for 6 months<lol>, going to try using applewood Pergo. Looks good with the beadboard walls, and if it doesn't hold up to the moisture, since it is a floating floor it would be easy enough to remove. Not a fan of tile unless it's installed over radiant heat and the bathroom is insulated to the hilt..to sweaty for me<g>...looks like I haven't missed much in the markets, lots of up and down for daytrading, but no time to do so. Currently have parts of a condo building sitting on cribbing, start ripping down and replacing foundation walls tomorrow..Horrible construction from the last re boom<lol>, 2X4 wall studding spaced 2ft on centers, 2X8 floor joists through out, yet they are asking $198K for these 2 tiny bedroom cracker boxes!!
Still booming around here. A developer just bought an entire ski area, plans to take it private, and I mean private-not open to the public. Should be interesting to see what the condo prices will be there<vbg> Paid $5 million for it, actually not a bad price,IMO
