An excerpt from your post regarding Mac market share, IDC analyst Roger Kay also notes he thinks Apple is on track to keep sales moving upward. Does this live up to or fulfill your expectations?

I also use the google desktop... I think google is scaring msft a lot more than aapl right now.

But anyway, a lot of analysts (maybe this guy too) seem to be missing the point... AAPL doesn't need to win over windows users... all that needs to happen is that msft will be challenged on a number of fronts by google, apple and linux and within a year or so (probably at the release of longhorn)... msft will no longer be the *only* vendor for corporate IT. At least thats the way it happened with IBM 10 years ago and it sure feels the same now. Then, aaple will not overtake msft or anything, but they will definitely be able to sell a lot more macs, to those trendier companies willing to break away from the gray.
