"According to Halevy, the Palestinian territories are another candidate for an American operational military presence if, as he writes, "it should turn out that the Palestinians are not ripe for self-rule"."

Fifty-seven years after the European terrorists invaded the Palestine Mandate to PREVENT the Palestinians from developing self-rule and a coalition government of Jews, Christians, and Moslems, this is the conclusion this genius/scholar comes up with?

Did the powers that be actually want the Palestinian people to be self-governing?

Do the powers that be really want the Arabs to be self-governing and not ruled by Western lackies who are bribe-able, great consumers of Western goods and services (including military services), and in the process being co-opted into our game?

Zionists are only part of the problem. With Bush-Cheney in power and Delay and Frist in congress, the radical evangelicals and oil coimpanies have much more direct clout. The Zionists are a poor third. Maybe even a fourth after the weapons industry. Those who want war in the ME are all of the above plus of course the Jihadists. But we have our own Jihadists, the rightwing christian nuts who absolutely believe the world is coming to an end in a place called Armageddon (Israel).
