Perhaps it's been a while since you read Atlas Shrugged.

It has been more than half a century. I read AS before I read the Russian novels - so I was not used to all those names and characters. I didn't have the mental "necessities" to keep track of all the characters.

As a result I could not identify with all those brilliant people that went on strike. I could not identify with the looters that robbed from the poor to give to the rich.
