Ted if the Dems keep saying that something unpopular will be caused by the Republicans, and the Republicans say it will not happen, that doesn't indicate much one way or the other. If you trust Dems or your truest Republicans more than the other party you might believe one party or the other more, but you have nothing solid to go on, and even partisans if they have any ability to look at things accurately will recognize that sometimes their party says inaccurate things, esp. when talking about the future.

If the administration, out of the blue, with no claim that a draft is coming by anyone who gets any notice, started to say "there will not be a draft", you might wonder why, but if the Democrats are saying their will be a draft, and their are no plans to have a draft what do you think the administration should do? Its silly to see this as a sign of a draft.

Despite your leading your post with "no", you still wind up with something very similar to every time an administration official opens his mouth something bad happens...
