We're all pure at heart maybe, and the differences just come from our respective choices of which orifice to let the purity shine out of ... tactics are important, yes, strategies too, for all sides of all disputes, this stuff matters Take the english, who were invaded by the normans ... well they shuffled about for a few years, muddling on through, trying to put up a military defence, but it was hopeless, degenerated into banditry, wasn't going anywhere ... then, they lit on the bright idea of screwing the normans' sisters ... luckily, they had previously had their own sisters screwed by the normans, somewhat involuntarily, so that was already dealt with ... by this strategy, or tactics, bingo - within a century and an half or so, the normans were speaking english, calling themselves english, pretty much being english ... so that worked out For the mexicanos it was a little different, the US occupied only half the country, and did otherwise only brief invasions just for the fun of it ... so perhaps that made it easier to take, or perhaps it was some ancient indigenous enlightenment gene in the mexicano cranium that arrived at the solution, and said, Let us be proper christian gentlemen about this, my brothers, and accept this great loss, for as Jesucristo says, blessed be the peacemakers, for the meek shall inherit the earth, forgive those who trespass against ye, if a man steal from you one peso, give him another - my brothers, we must smile at our neighbour in his enjoyment of half our lands, and from the goodness and purity and deep abiding affection of our hearts, we must send him half the mexicanos as well
