The other SS BS that needs to be countered is that Reagan did something to fix SS. He increased the excess collection of withholding taxes which accomplished NOTHING but collect more taxes for the nanny state to spend.

Let's raise taxes now so we can postpone the day we will need to raise taxes. Brilliant.
