Yeah but that is a chess move using a political gambit. The real Myth to be attacked is the overwhelming certainty that Technology and entreprenuerial intent can destroy the myths surrounding oil. Remember Bush has been building the SPR for 20 months or so, sopping up supply which is now locked into a LA salt dome; This thwarts the hugo chavez card being played by the left. Traders may like the present metrics, but the present metrics cant be sustained because their foundations are myths; fictions of opportunity.
