The DOE people think Nasdaq investors are spoiled because from the DOE's perspective, if you are an investor, you must be rich. Never mind the fact that all modern day American corporations have 401k plans that make nearly all of their employees into investors. So these DOE people believe it's perfectly okay for oil prices to spiral upward and tank the economy, stocks, and this country's morale. Bush of course feels the same way - they are emulating him.

DOE sees no reason why they should take the initiative to put together a modern-day energy policy.

Congress needs to clean house in the DOE by pushing the top leader out and getting a new DOE leader that's more modern day. Haven't these people heard of Hybrids? How about a Hybrid policy?

Getting new DOE leadership, would be the first step in cleaning up the bad attitudes at DOE. DOE people are very disrespectful to Nasdaq investors - you should hear what they say behind the scenes about investors.

It would truly make any Nasdaq CEO hot under the collar.

I think the DOE's guaranteed pensions should be replaced with 401k plans, since these DOE people show disrespect to American investors. Like Arnold said, make these govt people have the same 401k plans as the rest of American citizens, then presto watch the DOE come out with a new, modern-day energy policy. This alignment would clean up their bad attitudes towards American investors.

The problem with the DOE is their interests are not aligned with the American people. They need to get rid of their guaranteed pensions, so these DOE people are more respectful of American investors, and thus, more motivated to put together a modern-day energy policy.

Their guaranteed pensions allow them to do nothing about creating a modern-day, energy policy that's aligned with investors and the environment.

We really have a lot of outdated leaders in the govt.
