You use MAC - cool - what a great concept - yet you short them - I remember something about left and right hand not knowing each other - hehe. I thought you hated them shorting AAPL. Yes just an old G3 333 with mac os 9.1 that I bought for 100 bucks off some college professor who wanted to upgrade. hehe Put OS X 10.3 on it - very slow. As someone interested in trading - does OS X tiger allow 12 monitors like you can do in XP for very cheap? - another problem I have with apple fundamentally: engadget.com By now it’s no secret that Dell’s 2005fpw and Apple’s 20-inch Cinema Display use the exact same LG.Philips LCD (literally, it’s part# LM201W01). Of course, that 100%+ price differential can be a bit hard to swallow with the Dell going for as little as $350 on sale, and the Apple only today cutting their prices on the screen to $800, so AnandTech asked (and answered) whether Apple’s is actually any better than Dell’s. The conclusion? We won’t keep you in suspense—they scored near identically in all verticals, but the Dell edged out on its price, which is more than marginal difference. No my basic economics course in college was a way back - but the econ professor said it's hard to charge a higher price for an identical product and stay in business. Branding only works while the money flows eh? A rich nation can afford to INDIVIDUALIZE with AAPL - like that $600 dollar jean article I posted earlier. But the BORG are coming and poverty will push out the individuals who will be forced to conform to PRICE. Less 800 dollar monitors and more 350 ones going into the future I feel. Less $600 dollar jeans and more 10 dollar kmart jacklyn smith specials. hehe
