chia pets are so FUN
my kids loved those

why do you refuse to get one? Or do you secretly have one, and this is a clever ruse to throw us off the trail of your Chia love?

You have to eat something! In a world with imperfect choices, I would rather eat something without a face and a beating heart. Of course there are vegetarians who will only eat things that do not destroy the whole plant. Like apples and oranges are all right, but bok choy would not be. I think they are called fructarians. Those people, and the raw food faddists as well, are awfully rigid in their belief systems. And some plants, like tomatoes, give off very healthful things when heated that you would not get raw. Lycopene is an example since I mentioned tomatoes.
