Well, that sounds like enough potential sins that he could have
triggered the Washington Post/Woodward initiative, tipped off by others.

If Nixon had commissioned Watergate, it would no doubt have become known to the CIA/FBI folks.

Nixon opened the door to China. He ended the Vietnam war and brought our troops home.

Although he was brought down in disgrace, we cannot forget that he made a few achievements during his term.

On a side note:

Elect a President from Texas? That means America would be at war. Witness Lyndon Johnson and Vietnam. Witness Bush and Iraq.
