Doug, thanks for your additional information. Earlier this year, I purchased a mouse for $15.00 (on sale) that had a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty. The sales rep offered a two year warranty extension for around $8.00. She didn’t seem too devastated when I declined her offer. :-) My guess is that in her mind, she did the proper ‘corporate thing’ in offering it, and really didn’t wish to ferret out the associated paperwork to earn her commission for the extended warranty. Id
