The key word there is "friend."

It is a strange word if you look at it with fresh eyes. What is the "i" doing there? Why not just "frend"? Obviously a very old word, probably Danish in origin.

I think we have to draw a distinction here between:

(1) friends; and
(2) people who wouldn't spit on you if you were on fire, and would take the opportunity to steal your wallet once you had cooled off.

I support the former, I damn the latter.

Anyway this is not a fit subject for the board, let's take it elsewhere.
