No problem there.............. ..These units come from an authorized APC repair center in Dallas that takes in units from dealers who are upgrading their clients to bigger equipment. It's all totally legit. They put a brand new set of Factory gel-cell baterries in them and resell them WITH a full 1-year warranty. The control electronics and box the APC-1000 comes in is virtually good for 20+ years anyway. And, APC is one of the top brands in the industry. At an 80% savings over retail for home-biz system use - that's a damn steal in anybody's book. Not too shabby, aye............. You could plug a fluorescent floor lamp into one, and keep your living room lit for about 6+ hours while watching a 17" color TV at the same time...... The APC-1000 I bought from eBay 3 months ago has ridden through the typical Iowa winter glitches without my Server seeing so much as a hiccup. It came from an APC dealer in MI and was basically 'fresh-out-of-the-box' new. I'm "..happy as a clam in sand.." with mine...!!! John :-) .
