N. ID Humane society. They may put away some that are really suffering, but I know of one mutt with a huge tumor thats been there for months. Not sure he's suffering, but sure doesn't get around much.

My old Shlepper gets the gleam in the eye for an hour or two most days, but ain't so handy at the Happy Dance no more. So, when it's time........ BTW, her vet is the primary volunteer for the local Humane Society, and he too ain't nuts about doing them before their time.

Grainne, I'm half pulling your leg. Saw a picture from China a couple decades back that still haunts me; dogs at market with their lips sewn shut. But, if I was there at the time and hungry....
