The rapture is a total fabrication, as is the end of days. The nut cases on the right (millions of them, I fear) believe in this garbage because they are desperately unhappy people looking for an escape. Nowhere in the Bible does it say any of this crap is going to happen. Before Y2K these "prophets" (mostly conmen looking for $$) were all predicting the end of the world when the clock struck 12. it didn't happen. Then they predicted Armageddon after 9-11. They're still pushing Bush to make that happen. In fact they've been predicting it ever since the first century and it's never ever happened nor will it ever happen. The keep changing who the Anti-christ is, and it always has to be some foreign dictator, so they claim. The Soviets were the anti-christ, then Khomeni then Saddam. But in truth the only one who fits their general description is GW Bush himself, because the Anti-christ has to be posing as a righteous christian and have the ability (maybe) to take over the world.
