And wasn't that a very nice meal? Our family often has meals like that--rice pilaf, salad and a vegetable. Or some sort of stir fry with vegetables. Or twice-baked potatoes with two vegetables. Or refried beans with spanish rice and salad and steamed corn tortillas. I think everyone would enjoy meals like that. Not every meal has to have a big slab of meat included. How nice of you to spare a dear chicken's life tonight!
