That is an interesting impression, but is it all you remember from 1970? Were you one of those people who plunged so wholeheartedly into the pleasures and distractions of this era that you don't remember some things? Did you ever visit the Haight Ashbury district before the speed freaks moved in and ruined it? Come to think about it, that happened a couple of years before your visit, so you did not see the golden era of the hippies in San Francisco. It was not pleasant tripping over burnouts on every corner. I hated that part of it.
