think in gfig's case it may very well have been someone working a sell by end of month there the last 6 trading sessions of april---happens all the time with these new issues, especially sub 10 million floats---if someone wants out in size it'll hurt the price....noticed fred alger and co. reported over 1 million shares of gfig 3/31/05---that's 20% of float right there they purchased on or after offering---if they wanted to sell even 200k be end of month for redemptions or whatever, it would have knocked the stock.]

I really think at some point gfig's float does get bought up--unlike oxps wall street not shorting gfig at all, and all these houses do biz with these companies, they know how things are going and what they do. we'll see, but
I think 6+ months of frustration would result in a straight up for no real reason at some point...
