I sold a few of those - beanie babies - slave documents - even some comic books - shame when they stopped doing liquor and guns - but if you believe we are going to be sending gold coins back and forth over airplanes to do trade on EBAY then I guess we will just have to agree to disagree - never gonna happen. Back when I was working at IBM I could easily see doing things over the electric matrix - did most of it on a local basis with the as/400 systems - not hard to extend that meme out to many people globally - but I don't see people close to me trading gold coins at mcdonalds for a hamburger - too inconvenient - and extend that same meme out to the many people globablly - just think about this for a second - the guy in eskimo alaska wants a bottle of vodka to stay warm, he gets on ebay - the russian growing potatoes in some small village wants a seal skin - they are going to send gold coins back and forth on the UPS airplane before getting what they really want? No way. Do you really believe that? Do you really want to carry 20 gold coins into walmart to buy a hotdog? come on.
