Your anecdote about your unnamed European relatives is not sufficient to dispute any of the statistics I posted. Are they applying to move here as we speak? No one lives in absolute paradise, and the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I do not notice huge immigration rates from affluent European countries to the United States, except of course for those horrid northern European dairy farmers who have moved to the Midwest and are now polluting American waterways and stinking up the place with their dairy factory farming that has been outlawed in the countries where they came from. So we are getting the worst of them, and we deserve it because our own environmental and animal rights laws are so lax. So, statistics please refuting the ones I posted.
