Ted, btw Art Torres is about as slimy as they come.

Not just Art Torres, but also Rose Ann DeMoro, the head of the California Nurses Association. She was the one whom I pointed out as someone who's never been a nurse herself.

I don't think that matters. To run a nurse's union, you don't have to be a nurse but rather a good administrator who is familiar with labor law.

Doing a search on Google led me to this article:

latimes.com.

Quite a political firebrand, but it turns out she makes $175K a year and her husband makes an extra $100K doing "research" for the CNA. It's a living, I suppose.

I assume this is public knowledge and the union is okay with it. Unions are quasi private and so do not have to be as concerned about nepotism and how it looks......unlike gov't agencies.

Do you remember when Arnold was going to run and I told you it wasn't worth the cost of a new election? That he will be lucky if he can get done anything more than Gray Davis? What you are starting to see is CA politics at its finest. Arnold was lucky because of who he is........he had a long honeymoon. But its over now and CA's uglies feel free to go after him without fear of retribution. Davis understood how it works in CA..........Arnold sadly does not. I'm afraid he's about to get his butt kicked.
