FDR fought wars after we and our allies were attacked. JFK wanted to end the Vietnam War. He certainly didn't want to escalate it the way Johnson and Nixon did. Bush started a war in Iraq with no plan or clear reason other than to start a war. Maybe he believes in the Armageddon myth too. If so, then maybe he sees himself conquering Babylon. Or maybe Halliburton and Exxon wanted the oil, and Rove told him that war-time presidents almost never lose elections. Rightwing evangelicals in his time told people FDR was the Anti-christ. Little known fact. Ditto Kennedy.
